Iris Van Soens graduated as a veterinarianin 1999 at the Ghent University. She started her career at the Small Animal department of the Veterinary clinic of the Ghent University. The first years she worked as an anesthesiologist. In 2002, she started a doctoral research on Magnetic stimulation of the nervous system in dogs and cats and a Residency program in Veterinary Neurology. In 2009 she obtained the PhD degree. In 2011 she became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology. From 2014-2018 she worked in a private practice and at the Liege University as a veterinary neurologist. Actually she works as a veterinary specialist in neurology for Evidensia Belgium and at the university clinic of the Liège University.
